BRONZE MEDALLION BRIDGING (BMB)

Knowledge gained 

  • Water safety, rescue skills, Lifesaving CPR, Basic First Aid 

  • Participants gain basic patrolling and surf awareness 

  • Knowledge for lifesaving patrolling operations. 

 

Prerequisites & Registration: 

  1. Membership must be paid and approved for the current season. 

  2. Must have attained their SRC in the past 2 years and maintained proficiency. 

  3. Must have completed a minimum 10 hours patrol last season & be at least 15 years of age at final assessment.. Register for the course online at LSV Club Gateway 

  4. Complete a 400‐metre swim in nine (9) minutes or less. 

  5. Download the Public Safety & Aquatic Rescue Training Manual 35th Edition. This is now online via LSV Club Gateway > Resource Library > Member Training > PSAR Manual. 

 

The course consists of a number of sessions and participants are required to attend ALL sessions. 

 

An Annual skills maintenance must be completed each season to keep this award proficient
