SURF RESCUE CERTIFICATE (SRC)

Knowledge gained 

  Water safety, rescue skills, Lifesaving CPR 

  Participants gain basic patrolling and surf awareness 

  Patrolling participation 

  ​STEP 1 - Prerequisites: 

  • Must be a paid and approved member for the current season 

  • Minimum 13 years (on the day of final assessment, can be completed 60days after the original / scheduled assessment date) 

  • Able to swim 200m in 5 minutes

 

STEP 2 - Registration: 

  • Create an account on Members’ Portal login to access their account members.sls.com.au 

  • Complete your 200m swim in under 5 minutes 

 

STEP 3 - Prepare Before Course Start: 

  • ​​Complete a 200m swim in under 5 minutes (pool ≥ 25m) → Submit evidence Form​ 

  • Finish your eLearning modules via LSV  Members Training area

 

  Step 4: Club Expectation 

 ALSC is built on teamwork and community service, all members who complete their awards are encouraged to: 
• Join a patrol team 

• Participate in rostered patrols throughout the season  
 

Your commitment helps keep our beaches safe and supports the club’s lifesaving mission. Patrol hours also count toward maintaining your proficiency and eligibility for future awards.

• Go to the Member Training Portal via clubs.lsv.com.au

• Log in using your Members’ Portal account 

• Click the “Enrolled Courses” button — this opens access to all eLearning modules 

 

An Annual skills maintenance must be completed each season to keep this award proficient
