About the event

As we have limited Epoxy stocks in both Nipper and Mal Size boards, your board must be pre-arranged and allocated by your Team Manager (Travis Theodore - Jnr's & Jason Balfoort - Snr's) in conjunction with ALSC Gear Steward (Christy Jeromson) before you can process this order.

Cost for Season long rental is $100 dollars and upon recieving the board, you will be responsible for the maintenence and upkeep of this board as if it were your own. You will recieve your board in a water tight working order and we expect it to be returned in the same condition by the close of the Summer Season in March for Juniors and April for Seniors. These epoxy craft are quite fragile out of water (more than you would could imagine), so please take care when transporting the boards in cars or in your hands (where most incidents occur). When loading boards on the roof, be carefull to not over tighten straps, in particular rachet straps as boards have been known to suffer compression fractures in the hull. We have a preffered manufacturer for the supply of LockRacks and have found them to be cost effective, super easy to install & transport and best mechanism for your craft, https://seasherpa.com.au/collections/transport-1/lockrack . You will also be asked to attend an induction process with Christy into the tips and traps of board transport, storage and maintenence. Beyond the transport risks, epoxy shells encur most of its damage in the tails, nose and Fin Box so we ask that you store them horizontally (Fin upright and on a soft forgiving surface) to reduce the risk of damage. Mishaps do happen and should your board encur minor damage, we ask that you cease its use in water immediately as they can become water logged and take weeks to dry. Christy Jeromson or Paul Puhar will be available at training sessions to repair minor scrapes, compression dings and minor cuts of the epoxy membrane and has no cost associated with the repair. If we deem the job to be too great, the task will be referred to our Surf Craft repairer (Darren) in Torquay. You will be responsible to drop off and pick up the board from his location in Torquay. Most repairs we have encountered do not exceed $100 with him.

You will need to supply your own board wax (Cool Water Wax) as epoxy boards are quite slippery without.
